CoM4 – Measurement Systems and Calibration Units for Air and Gases
The CoM4 family of measurement systems automates the dynamic and highly precise determination of volumetric and mass flow rates for air and gases. When combined with electronic pressure or flow control, these systems rank among the most accurate devices on the market and enable extremely fast, reproducible, and fully automated test and measurement procedures.
The CoM4 flow meter is available in various designs and housing variants—from the compact 19″ rack-mount in IP20 to splash-proof IP54 housings and custom-made special solutions. The modular architecture, high-precision sensor technology, and flexibly configurable evaluation software enable seamless adaptation to a wide variety of test and measurement requirements. The flow measurement technology can be assembled from various standard components and integrated both as a plug-in module and externally on mounting plates. For demanding applications, such as component or functional testing in production lines, CoM4 systems can also be individually configured and optimally integrated into existing or new systems – supported by our decades of experience in measurement instrument and plant engineering.
For less complex measurement tasks as well as flexible individual and test measurements, we also offer a selection of standardized CoM4 measurement systems. Below you will find the standard systems developed by TetraTec Instruments, which cover typical measurement and testing requirements and provide a quick and easy introduction to CoM4 technology.

Flow measurement system with laminar flow elements
The CoM4.Flow-Eco/Pro flow measurement systems enable highly precise and dynamic measurement of mass and volumetric flow rates of air and gases. To this end, devices in the CoM4.Flow-Eco/Pro series can be combined with multiple laminar flow elements arranged in a cascade configuration. All sensors required for LFE measurement are integrated into a compact 19″ rack-mount unit and have been calibrated for the highest possible accuracy in the TetraTec GmbH calibration laboratory—with a corresponding DAkkS certificate available upon request. The efficient design, consisting of the CoM4.Flow-Eco/Pro evaluation unit and an external flow meter, enables quick and easy setup of the system for test and laboratory measurements. Operation and result display are handled via a 4-inch touchscreen or browser software included as standard. Results are measured at up to 100 Hz and can be output via a COMM interface upon request.

CoM4.Flow-Quattro
Measuring and dosing device with integrated Laminar Flow Elements and electronic pressure control
The CoM4.Flow‑Quattro is a high‑precision flow measurement and control device that combines measurement, regulation, and dosing in a compact system. Four cascaded Laminar Flow Elements (LFE) are permanently integrated into the device and automatically switch between measurement ranges. This enables an exceptionally wide dynamic measuring range from 1 mL/min to 20 L/min – a 1:20,000 ratio that sets new standards in this device class.
Thanks to the integrated electronic pressure control, flow rates can not only be measured but also regulated quickly, stably, and with high precision. This makes the CoM4.Flow‑Quattro ideal for demanding test and inspection applications in laboratories, development environments, and production. Whether operated under suction, pressure, or in mixed‑mode – the system adapts flexibly to any process requirement and allows for fast, uncomplicated setup.
All sensors are delivered calibrated and can be DAkkS‑certified upon request. Operation is intuitive via the integrated 4‑inch touch display or conveniently through a browser‑based GUI. Gas property calculation models for air and pure gases, support for various primary elements, and an analog output signal for optimized control performance complete the powerful feature set.

Flow Measurement System with Critical Nozzle Gallery
The CoM4.Gallery is a high‑precision flow generation system designed to produce highly stable and reproducible air and gas volume flows using critically operated nozzles. The nozzles are binary‑graded within the required flow range and combined into groups of up to eight nozzles, ensuring that each nozzle operates under optimal flow conditions. This guarantees a consistently critical flow regime, enabling a nearly gapless flow range across the entire operating spectrum. For smaller flow ranges, the complete nozzle gallery can also be integrated directly into a compact rack module.
All sensors are delivered fully calibrated, with optional DAkkS‑accredited calibration certificates available. Operation and visualization are handled via an intuitive 4‑inch touch display or the included browser‑based software, with measurement data captured at up to 100 Hz and stored long‑term on the controller unit.
With its exceptional precision, traceable measurement uncertainty, and modular architecture, the CoM4.Gallery forms the core of any calibration laboratory
